No. Unlike some other Locksmith companies we will NOT charge you to get to your property. We only charge for the Locksmith’s time on site.
In all emergency Locksmith situations we will respond with efficiency and haste and operate a 30 -60 minute emergency response time. For non-emergency situations we can be with you either within 2 hours or at a time that is convenient to you.

Yes. All of our Engineers are fully checked prior to working with us.
We carry a wide selection of door locks, handles and cylinders including British Standard euro cylinders, mortice and Yale type locks on board our vehicles.
Yes, we are all fully trained and skilled in Non Destructive entry, unless either asked by our customers or in emergency situations we will always attempt this method of entry.
Yes, all parts provided and fitted by us are guaranteed for 12 months.
There are currently no set standards within in the Locksmith industry in the UK which can leave you vulnerable. However, you can be assured that all of the NGCL Locksmiths are accredited to at least a level 3 so they have all had the training necessary to be a great Locksmith.
You will be asked a few questions so that the Engineer can get prepared before he arrives at your house. You’ll be asked what type of door you have, wooden, uPVC etc. what type of lock, yale type, mortice etc. and what happened as to why you need the Locksmith such as being locked out or your key has snapped. Don’t worry if you don’t know the answer to these questions as our Locksmiths are trained to the highest standards so that they can help you.
Yes, all registered NGCL Locksmiths will carry ID on them. This will be a small identification card with their name, photo and NGCL logo. If you are unsure you are more than welcome to call us up to confirm it is one of our Locksmiths.
The standard lock on a uPVC door is called a Euro lock.
If you discover you have lost your keys and have no other key to copy, then you will need your locks changed. If you suspect your keys have been stolen then you will need to report it to the police. If you are sure you have simply misplaced them then you will need to call out a Locksmith to replace your locks and provide you with new keys.

The price of a Locksmith will be dependent on the job that needs doing, how long the job will take and if you need any parts. However, a trustworthy Locksmith will always agree a price with you before starting any work.
The most common locks found on a wooden door are either mortice locks or yale type locks. Additional security is sometimes also added such as a door chain.
If you discover you have been broken in to, the first thing you should do is call the police. Once they have attended and finished their work it is time to call a Locksmith. The Locksmith will make your home secure again whether you need peace of mind or repairs due to a damaged window or lock.
